This is the most sacred place of the district. This is the world's first marriage pavilion. The marriage of Narmada ji and Son was fixed at this place. Later, due to Narmada ji getting angry, the marriage could not take place. To go to this place, one has to cross the Amravati Ganga river on foot. This river forms two beautiful waterfalls here. On crossing the river, Narmada ji's cave is situated where the eternal flame is lit.
Mai Ka Mandap is situated 26 km away from the district headquarters. There are many doors of the cave here which are connected to Bheda Ghat in Jabalpur, such is the local belief. In ancient times, Siddhas and Sanyasis used to do Narmada Parikrama through this route. This secret route is still used by Yogis for movement, this is also a local belief. Rare trees and medicinal plants have been present around the cave since ancient times. More than 100 species of birds are found here. Here one experiences infinite peace and continuous flow of energy. By meditating here one can have the darshan of Narmada ji.
