This beautiful dam on the river Malaniya in Devargaon, 13 km from the district headquarters.Local belief is that when Mother Narmada was flowing from the Son river in anger, Malin Dai, who was later called Malaniya in corrupted form, stopped her. If you look carefully at the sunset at the Malaniya dam in Maikal, it seems as if two suns are setting, which makes the evening of this place even more spectacular.
